A surfeit of stress can result in all sorts of problems both mental and physical. The mental problems that can arise from stress include anxiety attacks, although there can be other reasons for anxiety attacks as well. Furthermore, it appears that the tendency of anxiety attacks is on the up. This is perhaps because of the increased levels of stress that everyone experiences.

You just cannot avoid tales of misery and strife in the newspapers and on the TV. It seems that news casters take pleasure in in telling us how much trouble we are in from all sorts of things from terrorists to diabetes.

They also never tire of warning us of the hazards from paedophiles, rapists and murderers. It is no surprise that everybody is stressed or that some people have converted this stress into anxiety and anxiety attacks or panic attacks.

These attacks are characterized by a sudden feeling of panic for no reason at all or unwarranted anxiety. These anxiety attacks are very upsetting for those who suffer from them regularly.

There are many prescription drugs to be had, but these days many people try to do without drugs, preferring more natural cures. One detail that many sufferers remark on, is that they feel much worse if they have a hangover.

Not that they have anxiety attacks while they are drinking, but that they get an increased number the following day, if they have a hangover. It follows then, that you may be able to lessen the frequency and the severity of your panic attacks, if you do not drink too much.

In this vein, sufferers have also noticed that they get more frequent and more severe attacks of anxiety if they are tired or worn out. Getting a good night’s sleep will clearly help, if this is one of the causes of your panic or anxiety attacks.

On the dietary front, vitamin B12 has been pointed to as having a beneficial effect on sufferers. The vitamin B group help the brain to create serotonin, which is the body’s happy drug. A lack of serotonin can create depression. Therefore, ensure that you get your daily recommended amount (RDA) of vitamins in the B group, especially vitamin B12. B12 is readily available in natural foods, it is even in cornflakes, just make sure that you are in receipt of sufficient.

Many people have had large amounts of success by restricting their use of sweeteners too. This includes natural sugar, as well as artificial sweeteners like saccharin. In order to obtain the largest benefit you should try to monitor your mental response to sweeteners. Some may be perfectly OK for you while others may not.

Caffeine has also been linked with anxiety, so it might be worth attempting to do without ordinary tea, coffee and coke, to see if that makes a difference. You could try decaf, if you miss the taste of coffee or herbal teas.

Another proposed home remedy that has provided great benefits is physical activity. If you feel an attack coming on, try to ‘take your mind off it’ by distracting yourself. A simple walk might be adequate or a chat with someone.

More and more people are doing all they can to fight premature aging. Anti-aging is the key to living a better and longer life and slowly everyone is jumping on the wagon. More of us are exercising to make this happen, trying various exercises and new machines to accomplish this. One apparatus that may be overlooked by most is the trampoline. There are many ways to benefit from exercising with trampolines.

For starters they are so much fun. Children love bouncing on them and adults enjoy them just as much. Everyone loves to jump on a trampoline. Its fun, and they forget they are exercising. Professionally, athletes use them to perform their sport better. For example, divers and gymnasts as well as freestyle skiers need to practice on them to improve their somersaults and more.

For the rest of the population, the trampoline is more often used to lose weight and implement a superior cardio workout. It’s like jogging without the hard surface to damage your joints, and without the weather conditions that often make jogging impossible. All it takes is about 15 minutes a day on a trampoline. Many are surprised at how tired they are after a matter of minutes. Jumping gets the heart going, and as the body bounces the core muscles are used to stabilize the body and maintain balance. This means you get a full body cardio workout in a short amount of time.

The first trampolines were actually walrus skins and blankets that the Inuit of North America and Europeans used respectively to toss others on. From there they have evolved to the modern apparatus made of super strong fabric, coil springs and metal frames. Its amazing how overlooked this fine piece of equipment has become in the fitness field. Although, recently the mini trampoline has picked up in popularity among fitness guru’s.

In addition to these materials, foam pads and nets are also implemented to ensure safety for anyone who uses them. These have reduced the amount of injuries immensely and should be in place whenever using the trampoline. Depending on how you plan on using your trampoline, be sure it has the right safety features in place.

If you have an existing exercise regime or are just starting one, perhaps you should look closer to the benefits that could be had with using such an apparatus. You can shed more pounds more quickly, all the while building muscle mass and improving your cardiovascular health all at once. There aren’t many exercise machines that can offer all this.

Whether you’re running and/or jogging because you love doing it or for general fitness, it really can be one of the best things to do if you are careful in your approach. While some places are more conducive to enjoyment, it doesn’t matter because running is something that can be done anywhere and on almost any surface. So today we celebrate running, and we’ll share a few relevant points about it so you’ll have a better experience.

Perhaps most people love running because they can get outdoors and enjoy the day, but we all know there are times when that just can’t be done. And for that reason it’s convenient to jog using a running machine, or treadmill, either at a local gym or at your home. Whether you prefer to run on a treadmill or outdoors is your own choice, but it’s good to be able to do both. Just one obvious example is during those times when the weather or outside conditions can make running a little treacherous, and then the treadmill starts looking pretty good. There are certain advantages to running on a treadmill, as you have complete control over your speed and there are no potholes, cars or dogs to worry about!

One of the best ways to start off with running or jogging is to begin by power walking. Power walking it really great, and if you have not done any working out for a while then it’s a good way to ease into things. It doesn’t matter how slowly you go, and then take your time and make slow improvements. When you feel comfortable, you can move from a power walk to a jog, until you reach a pace that seems right for you. That kind of approach is safe and natural, and all along your body knows what’s going on, too. Power walking can be a healthy and beneficial activity in itself, and people who cannot run because of an injury or health problem can power walk instead. But if you can run without problems, then do consider walking and then slowly build up to running.

When running or jogging, it’s important to warm up first, but it’s equally critical to slow down the right way. Don’t run at your full speed and then stop all of a sudden, but give your body a chance to gradually cool down. So a good rule of thumb is to start and end at a slow pace and you ease into the transition. You’ll find that your muscles will feel better if you do some light stretching after you run. Also, if desired, you can sit down and put your feet up so the level of your feet is above your heart, and what that does is it helps your heart return to normal.

The benefits of running or jogging are numerous, and this is something almost anyone can do beginning at any age. We’re all human, and sometimes you won’t feel like running - but do it anyway, and you’ll usually find that once you start, you’ll be glad you did. You can enjoy many years of great running, but follow our tips and those that you read elsewhere to keep your self in good condition and without injury.
